When a tooth needs a crown, veneer, or bridge, the traditional process requires taking silicone impressions, mailing them to a remote dental lab, and waiting two to three weeks with a temporary cap.

At Aliso Viejo Family Dental Group, we have bypassed this delay by establishing a fully equipped digital milling laboratory right inside our office. Dr. Reza Tafreshi and our clinical technicians oversee your restoration from initial digital scanning to computer-aided design (CAD) and final glaze firing.

That direct supervision is the real advantage. The dentist who prepared the tooth also checks the margin under magnification, adjusts the contour, and fires the glaze — no information is lost in a shipping box, and nothing is approved by someone who has never met you.

We stock the same industrial blocks commercial laboratories use, and pick the material to match the tooth's job in your mouth.

IPS e.max glass-ceramic

Lithium disilicate with the translucency and light scatter of natural enamel, so the restoration disappears next to your own teeth.

Best for: Front teeth, veneers, visible crowns

Solid zirconia (high-translucency)

An extremely fracture-resistant crystalline structure that stands up to years of heavy chewing and clenching forces.

Composite resin hybrid

Yes, and often stronger. We use the exact same industrial-grade blocks of IPS e.max and Zirconia used by external commercial laboratories, fired in our in-office vacuum sintering ovens.
