Wisdom Teeth: Why They're Often Different

Third molars ("wisdom teeth") usually emerge in the late teens or early twenties, but most jaws don't have room for them. When a wisdom tooth is impacted — stuck below the gumline or growing at an angle — it can crowd neighboring teeth, trap food and bacteria, or damage the roots of the tooth next to it. We use 3D CBCT imaging to map the exact position of each wisdom tooth and its proximity to nerves before recommending removal.

• Ridge preservation — bone graft to maintain jaw structure for a future implant.
